Stark comes up short in Dallas as Cowgirls finish second

The Cowgirls started their spring season with a second-place finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational.

The Cowgirls finished at 15-over-par, which was good for second place behind Baylor who finished at 1-over.

The Cowgirls had two top 10 finishers with Lianna Bailey and Maja Stark. Bailey finished tied for ninth and Stark finished solo second.

Stark had led the event for the majority of her three rounds but failed to record a birdie or better until her eagle on her 17th hole. Stark had 11 birdies in her first two rounds, but only the eagle in the third and final round.

She finished one stroke behind Hannah Karg of Baylor.

The Cowgirls will be back in action in four days in Sarasota, Florida.
