Jeffrey Carroll, guard on the Oklahoma State basketball team, has announced his intentions to seek an NBA evaluation of his talents, according to a statement the team released.
Nate Feken of NBC’s Oklahoma City affiliate first reported the story.
Carroll, a junior, will not hire an agent and will return to OSU if that is in his best interest, he said in the statement.
Carroll was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team after seeing impressive improvement in his first season with coach Brad Underwood. Carroll’s scoring increased from 8.2 points per game last season to 17.3 this year, the fourth best clip in the conference.
Carroll joins Baylor’s Jonathan Motley as the only players in the Big 12 to average at least 17 points and six rebounds. His 53.8 percent field goal percentage is the best of any guard in the league.
