Coach Mike Gundy and the rest of the Oklahoma State football staff are already building up the 2021 recruiting class. The latest commitment comes from safety Ty Williams, a 3-star from Muskogee.

This is OSU’s first commitment for the 2021 class since linebacker Kolbe Fields committed to the Cowboys in January. Williams joins Fields as the only commitments in the Cowboy’s 2021 recruiting class.

Williams held 20 Division I offers including six Big 12 schools, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, TCU and Texas Tech. He is the No. 12 safety in Oklahoma and No. 47 safety in the nation.

Williams led his team with nine interceptions his junior season after putting up five in his sophomore year.

Williams is a three-sport athlete at Muskogee where he also wrestles and plays basketball. He is 6-foot-1 and 186 pounds. He is quick and physical at the safety position. He has solid closing speed and matches that with good hands.
