The Oklahoma State track and field team completed its road trip this weekend in Palo Alto, California, and earned outstanding marks to catapult individuals into qualifying positions.
Middle distance veterans Craig Nowak and Josh Thompson dominated the 1,500 meters. Thompson won the event in 3 minutes, 41.80 seconds and Nowak finished fifth with a time of 3:43.43. Both earned marks good enough for West Regional competition.
Jacob Fincham-Dukes also posted one of the best marks in the young outdoor season for the long jump. His jump of 7.65 meters is the second-best mark in OSU history and the No. 4 jump in the West Regional.
All-American Savannah Camacho posted the second-best time in the West Regional in the 800-meter run. She ran the race in 2:05.63. Abbie Hetherington and Kaylee Dodd joined Camacho in earning West Regional-worthy times.
OSU returns to action Saturday in Tucson, Arizona, for the Jim Click Invitational.
