The collegiate careers of thousands of seniors will not end just yet.

The NCAA's Council Coordination Committee agreed to allow student-athletes an extra year of eligibility, according to Stadium's Jeff Goodman.

This decision came less than 24 hours after the NCAA chose to cancel all winter and spring championships because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Oklahoma State was slated to host the NCAA men's and women's tennis championships at Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center.

If O'Brate Stadium is not open this season, seniors on the OSU baseball team will still have the opportunity to play in it next year.

Goodman also wrote the committee will discuss issues for winter sport student-athletes.

There is no answer yet on how many total scholarships teams will have with the added number of athletes.
