Tim Rattay is the Oklahoma State football team's new quarterbacks coach.
Mike Gundy announced the news Friday, according to a press release from OSU Athletics.
Rattay brings NFL experience to the Cowboys' coaching staff. He was the Washington Redskins' quarterbacks coach during the past season, and he played in the NFL from 2000-2007. The San Francisco 49ers chose him in the seventh round of the 2000 NFL Draft.
"Tim is a really experienced and sound quarterbacks coach," Gundy said in the press release. "He is the son of a high school coach and brings a unique perspective as a former NFL quarterback himself."
Rattay has also coached at Louisiana Tech, his alma mater. He was the Bulldogs' receivers coach from 2013-15 and was their quarterbacks coach from 2016-18.
Before Rattay, former offensive coordinator Sean Gleeson had quarterback coaching duties at OSU. Although the quarterbacks coach position has been filled, a new OC has not been announced.
