Gunnar Gundy

Redshirt freshman quarterback Gunnar Gundy had never thrown a pass in his collegiate career before Oklahoma State’s game Saturday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

In OSU's 63-7 win, he threw more passes than OSU quarterbacks Spencer Sander and Garrett Rangel combined.

Gundy stepped in for the Cowboys at the start of the second quarter after Sanders and the Cowboy offense scorched Arkansas-Pine Bluff for 35 points.

The OSU offense continued to roll once Gundy stepped into the game as he threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 42 yards including a 24-yard run early in the fourth quarter.

Gundy led the OSU offense while he was in the game and proved that he can extend plays with his legs while also making accurate throws down the field. He showed the loyal and true that he is a viable option at quarterback when needed.
