OSU MTennis vs. San Diego-7.jpg

Cowboy head coach Jay Udwadia watches play during Oklahoma State's tennis match against San Diego on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater.

Matisse Bobichon watched the ball sail over his head out of bounds.

The OSU freshman turned and pumped his fists while yelling an enthusiastic, “Yes.”

Bobichon, a native of Lyon, France, had just swept Tulsa’s Daniel Siddall 6-2, 7-5 in his collegiate singles debut.

This win helped No. 14 OSU (2-0) blank Tulsa (0-1) 7-0.

“I was very nervous,” Bobichon said. “It was just so nice to win.”

Bobichon cruised through the first set allowing just two game losses.

The second set was much more intense as Siddall battled valiantly.

“I hope I win a lot here at the Greenwood Tennis Center,” Bobichon said. “I just made a few mistakes up 5-4 but I ended with a win.”
