Cowgirls lose to No. 11 Ohio State

All Chris Young could do was lead his team off of the courts at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center.

On Saturday, No. 24 Oklahoma State fell to No. 11 Ohio State in the first game of the ITA Kickoff Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.

The match started with a Martina Zerulo and Mananchaya Sawangkaew earning a doubles victory and Oona Orpana and Dariya Detkovskaya losing to No. 29 doubles duo, Sydni Ratliff and Irina Cantos. Ohio State clinched the doubles point with a victory over Sofia Rojas and Ayumi Miyamoto.

Singles play started smoothly for OSU with a win by Dariya Detkovskaya to make the score 1-1. However, the Buckeyes took three straight singles sets over Zerulo, Orpana and Ayumi Miyamoto, clinching a 4-1 victory over the Cowgirls.
