The OSU men’s tennis team had multiple players win All-American awards and Academic All-Big 12 awards.
For All-American, it was the top duo of Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky. The two were ranked as the top doubles team from the March 3 ITA/Oracle Division I men’s rankings. Throughout the season, the duo was known to be separate from each other to give the team a better shot to win doubles points.
While Vocel teamed up with Emilie Hudd, and Kellovsky teamed up with Etienne Donnet, which team would be at their best shot to win, it still didn't take away from the top-ranked duo of Vocel and Kellovsky.
For the efforts in the classroom, there were multiple Cowboys to win Academic All-Big 12. Hudd, a sophomore philosophy major; Maxim Tybar, a junior university studies major; Brady Draheim, a junior nutritional sciences and pre-med major and Luke Hammond, a junior university studies major, were all named to the Academic All-Big 12.
Draheim and Hammond were doubles partners for the majority of the season, and their hard work on the tennis court reflected back in the classroom as well.
Hudd has worked with Vocel since his freshman year, earning a 22-6 record in the 2018-19 season. With doubles in the 2019-20 year, Hudd has remained consistent on the year in doubles matches and singles matches.
