The Oklahoma State Cowgirls (5-5, 0-1) face the Kansas State Wildcats (11-2, 1-0) Wednesday night in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Here are three things to watch.

Stopping the Leeder

K-State forward Ayoka Lee won Player of the Week for her 32-point performance in the Wildcats’ 68-59 win over Baylor last week. Lee is the Wildcats’ leading scorer, averaging 24 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. Lee also is the top on her team in steals, blocks and free throws made.

Last season, the Cowgirls shut Lee down in Manhattan, Kansas, holding her to eight points on 3-of-7 shooting. In Stillwater, Lee got her revenge, scoring 27 points on 12-19 shooting, but both games were won by OSU.

Micah Dennis’ minutes

In OSU’s Big 12 opener Sunday, junior guard Micah Dennis played a career-high 39 minutes. Dennis’ previous high this season was 17 minutes against Rice. She capitalized on the bump in playing time with two more career-highs in points (10) and steals (4).

A shutdown quarter

This season, the Cowgirls have held seven of their 10 opponents to a single-digit score in a quarter. The three teams that scored double figures in each quarter are all power five opponents, Texas, Auburn and Tennessee. The Cowgirls lost each of those games.
