On Sept. 9, Oklahoma’s State Department of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard reported 505 active cases in Payne county, with 448 of those cases coming from Stillwater. This represents a decrease in both areas from yesterday.
With a running total of 1595 cases over the course of the pandemic, Payne county has the fifth highest total number of cases across the state of Oklahoma, right behind Canadian County.
No additional deaths were reported either in Stillwater or in Payne county.
The dashboard also reported a decrease in overall cases in Oklahoma yesterday, to 9,661 cases today. Nine additional deaths were reported across the state.
The Oklahoma Department of Health recommends that masks be worn in public places and especially indoor spaces like schools and restaurants.
