On Monday, the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard reported 347 active cases in Payne County with 296 coming from Stillwater. No additional deaths were reported.

At the state level, the Health Department reported an increase in active cases to 85,192 yesterday, with only one additional death. 

As of yesterday, Canada County passed Payne County for the highest total number of cases over the course of the pandemic, according to the dashboard. For the last few days, the number of active cases in Payne County has remained stagnant after the decreases from last week. 

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and promote public health, the CDC website recommends frequent handwashing, social distancing of at least six feet, and the use of masks. According to the CDC website, COVID-19 can spread even before symptoms show up, so caution is always advised.
