On Sep. 1, Oklahoma’s State Department of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard reported 335 active cases in Payne county, with 272 of those cases coming from Stillwater. Both of those figures were down one case from yesterday.

This brings the total case count over the course of the pandemic in Stillwater to 952, with 3 total deaths.

The dashboard also reported a decrease in active cases across Oklahoma with 805 recoveries and 9 deaths. This brings the new active case count to 8,601 in Oklahoma.

The University COVID-19 dashboard reported 121 positive tests on campus and 94 self-reported positive cases. According to the website, self-reported cases are those that were tested on off-campus facilities. The dashboard also reported a 13.63% positive test rate for tests given on campus and an estimated .93% positivity rate for the whole campus. 13 people are reported to be in University quarantine housing.

OSU reported that of the positive cases of COVID-19 tested on campus, 117 are students while only 4 are employees of the University.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health  recommends self-quarantining if you have come into contact with an infected person or if you have been within six feet of an infected person for more than 15 minutes.
