Oklahoma’s State Department of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard reported 211 active cases in Payne County with 168 coming from Stillwater, on Thursday. One additional death was reported from Stillwater from yesterday. 

The dashboard reported an increase in active cases across Oklahoma for a new total of 13,913. 11 additional deaths were reported from yesterday.

From Wednesday Oct. 7 to today, the active cases in Stillwater fell from 232 to 168. There was not an increase in active cases over any reporting period during the week, however, there were two additional deaths.

While the numbers in Payne County and Stillwater have steadily decreased, the active case count in Oklahoma at large continues to rise. From Wednesday Oct. 7th to today, the active cases in Oklahoma rose from 13,066 to 13,913. In that same period, the dashboard reported 68 deaths across the state.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health recommends self-quarantining if you have come into contact with an infected person or if you have been within six feet of an infected person for more than 15 minutes.
