The Oklahoma State Department of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard reported 240 active cases in Payne County with 205 in Stillwater, on Monday. No additional deaths were reported yesterday.
The reported active cases in Stillwater have fallen consistently since September 13th. Today, the reported number of active cases is as low as it was on August 29th.
Active cases continue to rise at the state level, where the dashboard reported an increase in active cases to a new total of 13,815 cases and 1,104 total deaths over the course of the pandemic. 6 additional deaths were reported from yesterday.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and promote public health, the CDC website recommends frequent handwashing, social distancing of at least six feet, and the use of masks. According to the CDC website, COVID-19 can spread even before symptoms show up, so caution is always advised.
