Dr. Ann Caine has been named the new president of the OSU Alumni Association with a starting term of Sept. 1.

On Tuesday afternoon, a nationwide search ended.

Former Oklahoma State University Alumni Association board member Dr. Ann Caine has been named as the new president of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association.

“Our search produced an impressive pool of well-qualified individuals, several with great ties to OSU,” past chairman Tony LoPresto said. “After much consideration, the committee focused on Ann, one of our board’s most active and respected members. She had the managerial experience and talent to lead the organization and ensure we do not miss a beat.”

Caine spent the bulk of her career in the educational field, beginning in elementary schools in Kansas in 1979 following her graduation from Kansas State University. After earning her doctorate degree from Oklahoma State, she became a professor at the university while serving as the Stillwater Public Schools superintendent for just over seven years.

Following her retirement from the Stillwater Public School District, she became the director of educational leadership position for the Oklahoma State School Board Association.

Caine is a current member of the Leadership Oklahoma Class XXIII and Leadership Stillwater Class XXI. In addition, she is a Life Member of the Oklahoma State Alumni Association, having been an active member of the board as a leader of the Marketing Committee of OSU Alumni Association.

“I am excited for the opportunity to serve our 250,000 alumni around the world, who, like me, love OSU,” Caine said. “As a believer in the land-grant mission, I am humbled and honored to lead this wonderful association. I appreciate and thank the board members for their confidence and support. I am already enthusiastically looking forward to this year’s Homecoming celebration and working with our university and community and foundation presidents on our shared goal of advancing OSU.”

Caine will officially begin her role at the OSU Alumni Association on Sept. 1.
