The Oklahoma State University Speakers Board announced Tuesday its next guest speaker for the spring semester.
Actress Diane Guerrero will speak at 7 p.m. on Jan. 31 at the Wes Watkins Center.
She is best known for her roles as Maritza Ramos on the Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black" and Lina on "Jane the Virgin."
Guerrero grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and remained there while the rest of her family was deported to Colombia.
Because of this, in the past decade she has been thrusted into the national spotlight for her outspoken support for immigration reform in the United States.
The OSU Speakers Board has hosted several other guest speakers, including Saturday Night Live's Michael Che and Kenan Thompson and Brandon Stanton, author of "Humans of New York."
OSU students, faculty and staff can get into the event for free while admission for the general public is $10. Doors open at 6 p.m.
