Humans of OSU: Jacob Gore

“Something I thought was really cool, whenever I was looking for [a major], was that architecture was something that made a positive impact on the world and something that I could do to help people. You put a lot of work into something that manifests in a big way.

“Throughout high school I thought I was going to be a music major… My instrument doesn’t have very many professional performance areas, so I thought I would choose architecture, which has some of the things I like about music, and then continue to do music on the side.

“One of my favorite things about music was practicing my instrument to continually get better at it, and architecture has a lot of stuff like that- continuing to get better each time you try something.”
