Beyoncé's seventh studio album titled "Renaissance" has faced some backlash for offensive lyrics.

Bey-hive members get ready, because Beyoncé is coming back with a new album.

The seventh studio album from Beyoncé titled “Renaissance” is set to release July 29 and will feature 16 new tracks. A single titled “Break My Soul” was already released earlier this month, and fans had mixed reviews about it.

Many fans claim that Bey’s new sound is not something they were particularly prepared for, but they’re not mad at it.

Online Reddit accounts and Twitter polls have revealed a 50/50 split in regards to Bey’s new sound. While some say they are over the empowerment aesthetic, others say it is a good representation and supports black culture among individuals.

Although the album is set to come out on July 29, it has reportedly leaked according to the Los Angeles Times. While some fans have rushed to listen, others have respected the singer's publication date, and are not listening until it officially drops on streaming platforms.

Beyoncé’s new album comes six years after the release of her last studio album “Lemonade.” Though not initially available on streaming platforms, Lemonade still set records with purchases from iTunes and analog CDs.

While Bey’s “Lemonade” era was about being an independent woman after husband Jay-Z reportedly cheated on her, “Renaissance” encompasses exactly what the album title is; a renaissance.

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world,” she wrote in a message alongside the album cover.

“It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.”

Fans are eager to hear Queen Bey’s new sound in "Renaissance."
