No, you didn't read that title wrong.
On June 24, TidalWave Productions will release a biography comic book titled "Infamous: Tiger King," inspired by the popular Netflix series "Tiger King."
The comic book, like the Netflix show, follows Joseph Maldonado-Passage or "Joe Exotic." It will show how he went from running a large, tiger-filled zoo in Oklahoma to a jail cell for hiring a hit man on arch rival, Carole Baskin.
"Right now the world needs a distraction," TidalWave Comics publisher Darren Davis said in a statement. "Perhaps that’s why we are collectively riveted to Netflix’s Tiger King ...Truth is indeed stranger than fiction in this origin story of both Joe and Carole in a flipbook."
The comic book will also include a page about the treatment of animals from written by PETA Foundation Director of Captive Animal Law Enforcement Brittany Peet, who was also in the Netflix documentary.
The 24-page comic book was written by Michael Frizell and drawn by Joe Paradise.
Preorder print copies of the comic are available on Amazon and other various comic book retailers while digital copies will be available on iTunes, Kindle and other online book retailers on Wednesday.
