The dead are alive and well at Oklahoma State University — at least until Oct. 23. Starting midnight Tuesday, the first official Humans versus Zombies game began at the OSU campus. It will continue until Sunday.
Humans versus Zombies is basically a game of tag, said organizer Terez Denshaw, an English senior. Students participating will be wearing lime green bandanas either on their arm or on their head, Denshaw said.
One person, named a "secret zombie," will infect humans and turn them into zombies. Each zombie will have to "feed" by tagging a human within 48 hours.
People who are humans will be allowed to carry "foam Nerf blasters and/or socks" as weaponry, according to the official OSU Humans versus Zombies website. These blasters may not be visible inside buildings on campus, according to the website.
More information on the Humans versus Zombies rules can be found at www.okstate.hvzsource.com.
Organizers ask students, faculty and staff to report disorderly conduct via email to okstatezombies@gmail.com.
