A female OSU student accused a former OSU football player of raping her in his dorm room, according to a recently unsealed protective order against the player.
The protective order against former starting tight end Jamal Mosley was unsealed at the Payne County Courthouse after being dismissed in court Wednesday.
OSU Police confirmed to The Daily O'Collegian that an investigation of an on-campus rape in Davis Hall continues.
An OSU Police activity summary states, "a female student reported being raped by a male acquaintance at his residence in Davis Hall." Records indicate that the rape was reported to have happened at 2 a.m. on Aug. 22.
OSU police said the investigation is ongoing and declined to comment.
Police would not say whether the rape in Davis Hall is related to the allegations of rape against Mosley. Mosley left the OSU football team Tuesday for "personal reasons."
Meanwhile, in the petition for the protective order, the female student alleges that Mosley brought her to his dorm room at Davis Residence Hall about midnight on Aug. 22, according to the document.

The student reported being "very intoxicated" and passing out with few recollections of the night. She woke up in her own apartment the next morning and suspected she had been raped.
In the protective order, the student said before she went to the hospital, she received a text message from Mosley stating that she left her camera in his room. The student said the sheets from Mosley's room, her clothing and her camera "have been sent in for testing," according to the document.
District Attorney Rob Hudson did not return repeated phone calls from the O'Collegian.
In a phone interview with the O'Collegian late Wednesday, Mosley said receiving the restraining order was shocking.
He has since left the state and said he plans to enroll at the University of Tennessee.

Believe it or not, there are consequences to getting totally smashed. Even if Mosley did rape her (in which case he should be punished, obviously), hopefully she'll have learned that maybe getting so smashed the night before that she couldn't even remember sex isn't such a good idea. Knowing how she partied in high school (graduated Stillwater a year ahead of her) and extrapolating that into college doesn't provide a great outlook for that, though.

Is the O'Colly trying to protect the accuser? Her name is most certainly out (see the News Press), and I'd guess the unsealed court documents are plastered with her name all over yet I don't see any names (except Mosley's, which may or may not be the subject of a massive witch hunt). On the subject of witch hunts, I'd probably skip town too in the situation. Okay, so he got caught with some pot, he'll do community service and pay a fine. But getting two women shrieking about rape? That reputation doesn't wash off short of a "not guilty" verdict, and more likely than not neither of these allegations will get so far as to a jury trial which might actually clear his name.

And finally, who drops rape charges over a scholarship? It sounds like the woman figured she could either get back at Mosley for something he did to offend her (short of rape) or something of that sort, and when he said "okay, but I'm getting a real lawyer and not some schmuck at the PD's office since I've got a massive scholarship on the line" she dropped the charges like a hot potato.

If it was sex without consent, why would he want to give her camera back? It looks like he has already been found guilty by most of you.......How could he walk the Stillwater streets with so many of you already finding him guilty? I am not saying the man is innocent. I just think we need more facts before we make any decisions. Anyone remember V.Mo.? No matter how this turns out, I hope some of you young men and women can learn from this. The decisions we make in an instant can effect us for a lifetime......

if she's too drunk to recall the previous evening, then she could not have given consent, therefore a rape charge is appropriate. If he says we were both drunk and she said OK, then stick around, DEFEND YOURSELF. as it is running off won't help. you're still going to have to come back for the trial(s).

Regretting your decisions later doesn't count as rape. No one honestly thinks they are going to make great decisions once they've become so drunk they're passing out and can't remember the previous night. Acting like the guy is the villain just because he made a bad decision too is just pathetic.

He probably came to OSU just to play football, So really, if he didn't do it, there's no point in staying around to "defend his reputation" if he can't play the sport he came to college to play. And if he did do it, of course he will leave. Wyhy walk around school with the stares of other people or constant gossip? There's no "real man" solution other than to leave, either way. And the real manly thing to do would have been to not put yourself in this situation at all.

So I guess the girl he raped in March is a liar too.
She left school and went back home.
By the way she is black......... so much for the race card.
If I was not guilty of what he has been "accused" of wild horses couldn't drag me out of Stillwater.
A real man would stay around and defend his reputation.
The article says he left for personal reasons and to better himself. I could understand it if he wasn't on the number 9 team in the nation (and first team starter to boot).
Very fishy......................
I think Coach Gundy gave him two choices------Leave or Leave
