On Mondays after OSU football games, the signs of the excitement are evident.

Trash litters the campus from Boone Pickens Stadium to Library Lawn and picking it up can take days.

Dominic Carter has decided to change that.

The sociology senior is organizing Campus Cleanup with his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi. Carter is inviting anyone in the OSU community to help pick up the trash left from Thursday night’s game against Colorado on Friday.

“We want to have a positive impact on this community and this is something that I think could really help,” he said.

Carter said people who want to help should meet in front of Edmon Low Library around 5:30 p.m.

At 6 p.m., Carter said he will break the volunteers into small groups and assign them areas around campus to clean — process he said will take some time.

If the cleanup goes well, Carter said he hopes to continue the event next semester and beyond.

“We don’t want this to be a one time thing,” he said. “We hope we can improve our community and make it a better place.”
