Roses are red, violets are blue: don't have anything to do on Valentine's Day? Well then good news for you.

There are events going on all over Oklahoma this weekend and the beginning of next week in honor of Valentine's Day.

Oklahoma State University's Student Union Activities Board is hosting a Valentine's Day bingo at 7 p.m. Monday in the Student Union Ballroom.

Kirby Reber, Student Union Activities Board entertainment chairperson, said students could win a Wii.

"We will have cake and cookies, so it will be like a little Valentine's Day party," Reber said.

Perkins Chambers of Commerce is hosting a chocolate festival tomorrow morning from 10 a.m. to noon. Lisa Branum, Hidden Oasis manager, said 15 Perkins' businesses are participating in a poker run. You will receive a playing card and a stamp from every participating business while you are sampling free chocolate. Participants leave the stamp card in the designated hopper when you are finished to have a chance to win a gift basket.

Some companies participating are D'Marios Pizza, Model Tee Printing, El Mexico and Hidden Oasis Day Spa. The gift baskets will consist of donations from the participating companies. D'Marios donated a $25 gift card and Hidden Oasis Day Spa is offering a free one-hour massage.

If you and your valentine want to take a trip, Tulsa is offering a night of chocolate and comedy at Henthorne Performing Arts Center. Admission is $10 and will be donated to Henthorne's summer theatre camp.

Frank Gallagher, assistant director at Henthorne's theatre, said the night would begin at 7:30 and consist of a chocolate buffet and entertainment.

"The performer is Laughing Matters, the longest running improv group in Tulsa," Gallagher said.

Flowers and chocolate accompany most of these date options.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, at 714 South Main Street, dips strawberries in chocolate fresh everyday and will be dipping all day on Tuesday.

For flowers, Little Shop of Flowers is offering a dozen of orange roses for $65 or half a dozen for $45.
