Two Cowboy football players leave team

According to a report by the Oklahoman, running back Travis Miller and linebacker Kye Staley left the team earlier in the week.

Miller played in six games in 2009 and rushed for 59 yards.

Staley never had the opportunity to play in a game after suffering a severe knee injury in 2009.

Blatnick receives deferred sentence

On Friday, OSU defensive end Jamie Blatnick pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of assault and battery and will receive a deferred sentence, according to Payne County Court documents. Blatnick was initially charged with a felony after a July 31 bar fight with former OSU offensive lineman Stephen Denning.
