OSU tennis falls to Baylor in Big 12 tournament

Emile Hudd and Matej Vocel talks to each other during the No. 27 Oklahoma State vs. No. 17 Oklahoma Big 12 Conference tennis game at Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Oklahoma State’s men’s tennis team fell to No. 8 Baylor Saturday afternoon in the Big 12 semifinals.

The Cowboys (15-11, 1-4 Big 12) would start off strong by winning the doubles point to begin the match. The No. 74 pair of Emile Hudd and Matej Vocel defeated Baylor's Sven Lah and Adrian Boitan 6-4, while Luke Hammond and Brady Draheim would finish off Johannes Schretter and Constantin Frantzen by the same score.

The Bears would sweep the Cowboys in singles play to advance to the Big 12 final. The Cowboys came into the match riding the momentum of defeating No. 7 TCU in the opening round of the tournament.

OSU will be back in action in NCAA Regionals beginning May 3.
