The Oklahoma State equestrian team continued its winning ways for its first and second road wins in Delaware on Friday and Saturday.
The Cowgirls (6-5) boosted their win streak to four games when they defeated Delaware State and South Dakota State.
No. 2 OSU’s reining team came in strong, winning its event 3-1. Top riders Hannah Mitchell, Hunter DeJane and Stephanie Helsen earned high ratings to win their matches.
The fences team split its event at two points apiece with Sydnie Ziegler and Hannah Janson scoring for the Cowgirls.
Not to be outdone, the Flats team jumped on the victory wagon with a 3-1 win.
The OSU horsemanship team maintained its win streak as it took home another win to advance the streak to five.
South Dakota State
The Cowgirls dominated the MOP honors en route to their fourth win in a row.
Because of weather issues, half of the meet against SDSU was moved to Friday. OSU began the meet against SDSU with the fences and horsemanship team. Both teams split their meets 2-2 to finish the night.
The flat team brought out its brooms to sweep the event and gain four points. Abigail Brayman received the MOP for the event. It was her first MOP on Flat.
To no surprise, Brayman added to her MOP collection with another one on fences.
Team captain Sarah Miller tied her career-high and led the horsemanship team to another victory. Also, she took home the MOP for the event.
The OSU reining team completed the day with a 3-1 win against SDSU. Helsen earned her first MOP award of the season. Mitchell and Hannah Lovrien rode their way to victories, as well.
OSU comes home for senior day to host Fresno State on March 9.
