The defending champs quickly reminded Oklahoma State of its title in the opening minutes of each half.
OSU lost at Texas A&M 63-49 on Saturday, the second meeting of the season between the teams.
In a reoccurring trend, the Cowgirls (13-10, 5-9 Big 12) were unable to find offensive rhythm for most of the game. In the first five minutes of each half, the Aggies outscored the Cowgirls 30-5.
"We can't come out of the locker room at the start of the game or start of the half and play like that," OSU coach Jim Littell said.
Although sophomore Tiffany Bias led the team with 11 points, no other Cowgirl player was able to reach double figures. The Aggies (19-6, 10-4) held OSU to 35 percent from the floor.
"That's always been a strength of (Texas A&M) by pressuring you and taking you out of your offense," Littell said. "They did it again tonight."
For a team that still hopes to be one of the last teams into the 2012 NCAA Tournament, Littell said he hopes his team can get back in the gym and take the loss as a learning experience.
"You've got to practice where every practice is important," Littell said. "If you have good practices back-to-back-to-back, you get your confidence up."
