The Oklahoma State softball team defeated Wichita State, 9-6, in part due to a strong team effort from the plate.
After going down 6-3 through three innings, the Cowgirls (24-9) put four runs on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth inning. OSU scored another two in the sixth to take its second win against the Shockers (20-12) this season.
Michaela Richbourg and Chyenne Factor had a big game at the plate. They combined for four hits with two home runs and five RBIs.
Kylie Naomi and Rylee Bayless set the table for OSU in the one and nine spots. They combined for three hits, three walks and four runs.
Logan Simunek led the way on the mound with with two strikeouts in three and a third innings. Samantha Clakley aided the cause with a two-inning save to close out the win.
