Cowboys knock off fifth ranked opponent, improve to 9-0

The Oklahoma State wrestling team knocked off its fifth ranked opponent Saturday to improve to 9-0 on the season.

The No. 3 Cowboys defeated No. 14 Pittsburgh 33-9 to finish their road trip on a high note.

In just his second dual match of the season, Wyatt Sheets defeated No. 10 Taleb Rahmani 9-3 at 157 pounds.

Kaid Brock, Kaden Gfeller, Nick Piccininni and Joe Smith all earned bonus point victories for the Cowboys with Brock and Gfeller pinning their opponents at 141 and 149 respectively.

In a matchup of two of the top four at 133, No. 2 Daton Fix lost his first match of the season to No. 4 George Phillipi, 3-1.

Jacobe Smith, Dakota Geer and Derek White contributed three straight decisions at 184, 197 and 285 to close out the dual.
