AJ Ferrari announces commitment to OSU wrestling


A sellout crowd of 13,811 fills Gallgher-Iba Arena in Stillwater for the Oklahoma State vs Iowa wrestling dual. 

AJ Ferrari, the No. 1 pound-for-pound wrestler in the class of 2020, announced his commitment Oklahoma State during an Instagram livestream on Wednesday night.

Ferrari, an Allen, Texas, native, is a two-time Ironman champion as well as a 2018 Cadet World bronze medalist. He is projected to wrestle at 197 pounds in college. 

He chose the Cowboys from a group consisting for Penn State, Ohio State, Nebraska and Rutgers. 

Ferrari's commitment strengthens a 2020 class that was already ranked No. 1 prior to his commitment and includes No. 2 Dustin Plott, No. 11 Trevor Mastrogiovanni, No. 20 Jakason Burks, No. 28 Luke Surber and No. 78 Konnor Doucet.
