In May 2010 the Alumni Association created a 3-D virtual tour of the Conoco Phillips OSU Alumni Center. They wanted to show the community that the 52,000 square foot building was more than just a memorial and informational building.
While there is plenty of history displayed, the center is also a gathering place for banquets of all kinds.
Director of Alumni Center Marketing and Operations John Moore said renting a room for an event is open to everyone, not just students and alumni.
The alumni center also offers ways for current students to get involved. Students Today Alumni Tomorrow is a quick and easy way to become a part of the Alumni Association. STAT offers many benefits such as discounts at various on campus stores, and a tee shirt with registration. For $15 a year, students can receive the discounts and become a member of this growing organization.
"Students can be as involved as they want. The meetings are not required," Moore said.
The downstairs is open to students to pass through or take a break from the heat.
"Most of the time students just go to the library or a dorm to study, and they never think to come here," Moore said. "It is a quiet place to study or relax, and students are welcome."
