Former OSU tight end Jamal Mosley was accused of allegedly raping another student in March, according to an OSU police report.
The victim dropped the allegations on March 11 because she was afraid Mosley would lose his scholarship and the case was closed, according to the report.
Mosley left the football program on Aug. 31 after another student accused him of rape. On Sep. 3, he enrolled at the University of Tennessee where he said he hoped to continue playing football.
The police report said Mosley raped the victim at his Bost Hall apartment on March 6. The victim said she believed Mosley was intoxicated at the time of the incident, according to the report.
OSU spokesman Gary Shutt said no one in the athletic department was notified in March because the victim dropped the charges.
"The police handle things like that on a case-by-case basis," he said. "It was a timing thing and the fact that the person who reported the incident did not want to report it."
