Single on Valentine’s Day? Do not fear, here are some activities to keep you busy.
Just because you don’t have a partner on Valentine’s Day does not mean you can’t go out or stay in and have a good time.
After a long week, there is nothing wrong with wanting to spoil yourself. Order a pizza just for you, get a manicure or pedicure, go shopping, I would even consider taking a nap as a form of luxury treatment.
A Singles Potluck
Who doesn’t love friends and food? All you have to do is decide on the time and place, then everyone can choose what to bring. This is the perfect bonding opportunity for you and your closest friends.
Go to the Movies
There are so many good movies out now, and you deserve to have a good laugh or cry. This is an activity you can do alone or, if you’re more social, invite a few friends! Just remember to find a showing time that works for you and try to arrive a few minutes early to get a good seat.
Cook a new Dish
Again, who doesn’t love food? Nothing sounds more fun than making something new. You can start by looking on apps such as Pinterest, where there are thousands of recipes. If you’re the type that prefers staying in, this is the perfect idea for you.
Make Valentine’s Day Cards For Your Friends
This does not have to only be an elementary school project. There is nothing more special than a handmade card. You don’t even have to go all out. All you need is construction paper, markers, colored pencils, stickers etc. Your friends will definitely appreciate that you took time out of your day to create a craft just for them. If you would not describe yourself as “crafty,” remember it’s the thought that counts.
This one is for the ladies. Now, even though Galentine’s Day is the 13th, it still deserves recognition. What could be any better than a whole day dedicated to female friendships? Go out to dinner, have a sleepover or even watch your favorite shows. There is nothing more important than showing your closest gal pals that you love and support them.
Do What You Love
If none of these ideas seem pleasing to you, just do what you love. This can include playing video games, watching Netflix, going to the gym, writing, drawing etc. The most important thing is that you are having a good time.
Don’t Forget to Love Yourself
Having a partner to love is nice but loving yourself is better. Do not beat yourself up for being single on Valentine’s Day. Just remember you are not the only one and you don’t need to be in a relationship to have a fun on this holiday.
