He couldn’t stop the flood from filling the First Baptist Church on Duncan Street.
But James Price doesn’t care too much. It’s natural for the church’s music director to have his workplace overflow with music.
Price, a 2008 OSU graduate, climbed three flights of stairs but the music still found him. The moan of the piano organ splashed through the hallways of the church as he performed the ballad “Love is Gonna Find You” on his office piano. Once the organ stopped, Price walked downstairs and sat in a sea of pews to play “October” on guitar.
Folk songs aren’t usually played from the pews, but Price proved there’s little reason they shouldn’t.
