The trial to determine whether to uphold an emergency protective order against OSU basketball player Matt Pilgrim is scheduled to begin Thursday. Pilgrim, 22, was served an emergency protective order May 3 after an OSU student told police that Pilgrim raped her in her Smith Hall apartment in the North Monroe area on April 12.

That wonderful and terrifying social gathering of like-minded or similarly employed individuals where everyone gets together under the guise of taking part in workshops or hearing creators of their favorite comic book speak, but really most people just use it as an excuse to go drink in a hotel for a long weekend.

Well, the party is over. After airing the second season finale in late June, Starz original comedy "Party Down" has not been renewed for a third go round. Each episode chronicled the work of a six-person team at the titular Party Down Catering Company as they served and supported a different party each week.

In the eighth inning, Kansas center fielder Brian Heere came barreling forward and attempted a diving catch, which looked to be a success. The OSU/A&M Board of Regents approved the hiring of architects for two upcoming campus projects at their July 23 meeting.
Regents voted unanimously to approve the hiring of Beck Design of Tulsa, Oklahoma for planning and design work on a new performing arts center to be used by the music and theater departments.
Oklahoma State football safety Victor Johnson was arrested Saturday for obstructing an officer after the officer was trying to perform a search at his residence, where OSU police found marijuana. Johnson is also facing a DUI charge after he was arrested on June 11.
Parker and Iba Halls will be opening their doors to students once again this fall.
