On May 21, OSU alumnus Boone Pickens announced a $100 million gift to Oklahoma State University for endowed academic chairs before a crowd of more than 3,000 OSU faculty, staff, students and friends. Speakers included OSU President Burns Hargis, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry, Boone Pickens, OSU Faculty Council Chair Bob Miller and OSU student Courtney Timmons.

Oklahoma State stranded 10 runners on base Wednesday night and dropped a 3-2 contest to Kansas State on the first day of the Big 12 Conference Baseball Championship at the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.
