Quinn to blame for fall in draft

Blame the Browns, blame the Dolphins, blame Roger Goodell, blame Steve Young, blame the other 20 teams that passed him up, but God forbid we blame Brady Quinn for falling into the lower half of the first round of this weekend’s NFL draft.

I guess what it came down to was that, to ESPN’s horror, Quinn did not impress teams enough to be an early draft pick.

One of Ukraine’s major exports to the U.S. must be tennis players.

Letters to the Editor

The article that The O’Colly allowed to be published on Friday, April 27, was ridiculous. I can’t believe The O’Colly would allow someone of his nature to be on your staff.

Who cares what his “dreams” are? This is college. You’re here to study and get an education, and make good memories and friends.

Stillwater may not have a huge mall, or a lot of video game places, but there are many, many things for the college and high school students to do.

We have a movie theater, a bowling alley, many stores to shop, many beautiful places to go for a walk or jog, and two lakes to picnic, play frisbee and hang out.

We also have a place to play summer league basketball, batting cages, etc., a skate park and a public swimming pool.

There are many organized fun things to do on campus weekly.

He seems to be mainly upset that he doesn’t have more variety to buy and play video games.

And to call Eskimo Joe’s “low-caliber dining”? It’s world famous and it’s a fun place to be.

Stillwater’s not pet friendly? And exactly how would he know that? I live close to campus and see many people walking their dogs daily.

Not all students drink, nor do they feel that’s the only thing to do.

I work with students daily. They give a lot to this community in many ways, one of which is campus community services to many organizations.

They raise money and donate hours of their time. They are contributing to the community and the world.

Two-week journey to Kenya changes writers’ lives

It’s hard to understand a third-world country until you’ve been to one.

Until you have crossed the borders of a third-world country, stereotypes mold your thoughts about what you will to see.
