Reece came to OSU as a junior in 1990 — his career began when he was asked to announce women’s basketball that same year. The following year the athletic director took a chance to add some enthusiasm and had Reece announce men’s basketball and football. Students and professors in the Paul Miller Journalism Building went through class as normal Wednesday – that is, normal for a rock concert. A construction project just south of the Student Union and directly east of the Atherton Hotel started Wednesday morning, and the noise quickly became an issue for people within earshot.

  In Tuesday's practice, Le'Bryan Nash approached Travis Ford and promised the coach he would be ready. In Wednesday's game, Nash delivered. The sparkplug of a late rally, Nash scored 27 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists in the Cowboys 79-72 win over Missouri.

Notebook: Court rush deja vu

Two years ago, Gallagher-Iba Arena played host to an upset of a top-five ranked team.    Yesterday, it renewed its role.    In 2010, the unranked Cowboys stunned the top-ranked Kansas Jayhawks 85-77.   Despite taking place just two years ago, the only Cowboy still on this year's roster is senior Keiton Page.
